The aims of the Diploma in Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery programme are:
To prepare nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team, beginning with the competencies for first level positions in all kinds of health care settings.
To help nurses develop an ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with members of the health team in the prevention of disease, promotion of health and rehabilitation of the sick.
To help nurses in their personal and professional development, so that they are able to make maximum contribution to the society as useful and productive individuals, citizens as well as efficient nurses.
To serve as a base for further professional education and specialization in nursing.
To prepare nurses to keep pace with latest professional and technological developments and use these for providing nursing care service.
The programme is of 2 years including 6 months internship. The examinations are held annually. The students will gain clinical experience in various clinical and community settings under the guidance of teachers.
Annual Intake: 30 Seats
Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.
Candidates must have passed the 10+2 level of education from a recognised educational board.
10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board from the school and recognized by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.
